At Verboo, we are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your personal data transparently. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you access the Verboo public website and our educational platform services.

1. Data Controller & Operator

"Verboo" and "Verboo Club" are commercial names used to identify the Verboo educational platform and services, operated from Buenos Aires, Argentina. For any inquiries regarding data protection, you can reach us at: hello@verboo.club.

2. Data We Collect

We process only the categories of personal data necessary to provide, manage, and secure our educational services:

  • Account & Profile Information: Name, email address, password hash, and account creation timestamps when you register.
  • Authentication & Sessions: Secure authentication technologies and session cookies may be used to sign users in, protect accounts, and maintain active sessions.
  • Enrollment & Course Data: Information regarding course registrations, level choices, schedules, assignments, and attendance status.
  • Placement & Onboarding Level Data: Transcripts of your onboarding assessment dialogue with our AI placement guide and your resulting estimated language level.
  • AI Interactions: Conversations, learning dialogues, and feedback exchanges held with our AI-supported learning features.
  • Transient Voice & Audio Processing: To support speaking practice, the platform processes voice and audio inputs. This raw audio is processed transiently by Verboo and/or authorized service providers for the requested functionality. Verboo does not intentionally retain raw audio as part of the student's persistent learning record unless explicitly disclosed.
  • Browser Local Storage: Limited account, preference, placement, or progress information may be stored locally on the user's device to maintain continuity and improve the experience.
  • Analytics & Cookies: We utilize analytics tools to track website usage, traffic metrics, page views, and user interactions. These analytics tools set cookies to gather standard internet log and visitor behavior information. We do not currently enforce automated consent selectors for analytics as they are under evaluation.
  • Community Integration: Voluntary integration codes are processed if you link your student profile with our Discord community server.

3. Purposes of Processing

We process your personal data for the following educational and operational purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining your learning profile and access to the platform;
  • Personalizing your English learning experience, recommendations, and explanations;
  • Transcribing and analyzing your voice inputs to provide pronunciation and grammatical feedback;
  • Evaluating language levels and progress during lessons and courses;
  • Analyzing website performance to maintain stability and improve functionality;
  • Providing support and responding to inquiries.

Verboo does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

4. Data Processors & Infrastructure

To operate Verboo, we share data with third-party infrastructure, communications, analytics, and artificial intelligence processing services. These service providers act as data processors and process the minimum information necessary to perform their functions (such as converting audio files to text transcripts), governed by appropriate data security and confidentiality terms.

5. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the educational and operational purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent security incidents, and comply with applicable record-keeping requirements.

6. International Processing

Some service providers may process information outside the user's country. Where applicable, Verboo takes reasonable measures to use appropriate privacy and security safeguards for such transfers.

7. Minors

8. Your Rights Under Argentine Law (Ley 25.326)

As the owner of personal data under the Argentine Personal Data Protection Law (Ley No. 25.326), you have the right to access, rectification, updating, and, where applicable, suppression of your personal data from our databases free of charge at reasonable intervals, unless there is a legal obligation or contract requiring its preservation.

To exercise your rights, please submit a request to hello@verboo.club. The Access Right may be exercised free of charge at intervals of not less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is proven.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
